There are different reasons for having your account limited by your hosing company. For instance, this could happen if your account has reached its daily or monthly resource limits.
A hosting company can limit your account in cases when there is malicious code found on one of your sites, or when one of them has been hacked. In these cases, the hosting provider isolates your account so that the infected code doesn’t spread around other accounts that are on the same shared server.
If this happens, when you try to go to the site, one of the most common default notifications for cPanel accounts will pop up saying that ‘Your site has been limited within the past 24 hours’.
Here are some suggestions that may be useful if you’re in a similar situation.
Scenario 1: My hosting provider limited my account because my hacked WordPress site contains malware
Scenario 2: My hosting provider limited my account because my WordPress site consumes too many CPU and Memory resources
